These ankle sleeves use a graduated compression knit as their base layer, meaning the tightest point of the fabric sits at the ankle and gradually eases further up the leg, then add a crossing wrap strap over that knit for extra adjustable support around the joint. That combination gives more targeted compression than a plain knit sleeve alone.

The knit blends nylon and spandex for a fabric that holds its shape wash after wash instead of loosening up within a few weeks, which is the most common complaint with cheaper compression sleeves.
